This fossil pushes the origin of the family <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vasidae\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vasidae<\/a> back to the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Barremian\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barremian<\/a>, about 125 million years ago, and shows that major neogastropod lineages had already diverged well before their mid-Cretaceous <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Evolutionary_radiation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">radiation<\/a>.
