Przedstawiona w pracy szczeg\u00f3\u0142owa analiza sekwencji <a href=\"https:\/\/pl.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mitochondrialny_DNA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mitochondrialnego DNA<\/a> wykaza\u0142a, \u017ce niekt\u00f3re rodzaje z tej grupy tj. <i>Caryophyllia<\/i>,<i> Premocyathus<\/i>,<i> Desmophyllum <\/i>i <i>Solenosmilia<\/i>, tworz\u0105 klad wyr\u00f3\u017cniaj\u0105cy si\u0119 unikatowym przegrupowaniem gen\u00f3w. To wyj\u0105tkowe przegrupowanie gen\u00f3w, nieobecne u innych <a href=\"https:\/\/pl.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Koralowce_sze%C5%9Bciopromienne\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">koralowc\u00f3w sze\u015bciopromiennych<\/a> (w tym innych tradycyjnych kariofylid\u00f3w np. <i>Heterocyathus<\/i>,<i> Trochocyathus<\/i>, <i> Polycyathus<\/i>) proponowane jest jako <a href=\"https:\/\/pl.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Synapomorfia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">synapomorfia<\/a> \u201eprawdziwych\u201d <i>Caryophylliidae<\/i>.
